Make Your Moves is an innovative initiative led by the LEAP Institute, dedicated to empowering young individuals in South Africa.
We are a passionate team of educators, mentors, and professionals united by a shared vision of unlocking the potential of every young person, regardless of their background.
We work collaboratively in thriving hubs, bringing together partners and co-creators who share our vision of empowering young people.
By harnessing the generative and regenerative practices from our work at the LEAP Science and Maths Schools, we are creating a 21st-century adaptive, self-liberating, open-ended, and invitational construct for teaching and learning.

Who are we trying to help?
Our focus is on addressing the challenges of work readiness and entrepreneurial mindset among young people. We serve marginalized populations in the education system who face institutionalized bias and limited access to opportunities.
Our aim is to bridge the gap between education and employment, creating pathways for success for all young individuals, regardless of their economic circumstances.
We believe that every young person deserves a chance to thrive and succeed. Our programs and initiatives are designed to reach those who are often overlooked or disadvantaged, including those from under-resourced communities and those who have faced discouragement in the job market.

Our mission is to shift the paradigm of “Work Readiness” and increase the pool of employable young people who are well-grounded with raised consciousness and increased competency in critical thinking, collaboration, creativity, and communication. We believe that by integrating intrinsic motivation, internalised values, emotional connection, and useful skills, we can empower young individuals to thrive in the world of work and wellness.
